Peer Health Advocates
The
Peer Health Advocate (PHA) program trains CSU Stanislaus students to
become important members of our Student Health Center
staff. PHAs strive to empower their peers by combating ignorance,
encouraging awareness and promoting healthy behaviors. PHAs work in the
SHEd,
participate in health fairs, and conduct a variety of informational
workshops and presentations. Have you thought about becoming a peer
health advocate? Becoming a PHA has many rewards:
- Opportunity to make a difference in the health of CSU
Stanislaus students
- Improve leadership and communication skills
- Meet, interact and collaborate with other student
leaders and campus organizations
- Enhance program planning and presentation skills
- 4 units of elective course credit
- And much more!
"Never doubt that a small
group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. In fact, it is the only thing that ever has."
--Margaret Mead
We want you to become a PHA!
