(SHAC)
Join us for the first SHAC meeting of Fall 2009

The mission of the California State University, Stanislaus Student Health Advisory Committee is to serve as the connection between the Health Center and the students. The role of SHAC is to inform students about fees, services, programming and to educate students about health issues and prevention. SHAC strives to ultimately enhance the overall student experience.
The Student Health Advisory Committee (SHAC) is
- the students’ voice for the Student Health Center
- an advisory board to the Student Health Center staff, voicing the opinions and needs of the CSU Stanislaus campus student body.
- comprised of students, staff and faculty who possess an interest and concern about the health of CSU, Stanislaus students.
SHAC Responsibilities
- Advocate for the health needs of students
- Advise the Director and University President on Student Health Center programs, scope of services, and hours of operation
- Participate in health education activities
- Educate students about Student Health Center resources
- Conduct outreach to build Student Health Center visibility
- Assess Student Health Center programs to ensure student needs are met
- Recommend policy changes to better meet student needs
- Administer and collects information through patient or student surveys
- Lead informational tours of the Student Health Center
- Assist with educational health programming
